—and while much of that power is fueled by Red Bull (we’re talking he has a fridge next to his desk), it’s also fueled by his 25+ years of marketing expertise in various executive bank marketing leadership positions. While very outspoken about his love of family and anything Ohio State Football, Mr. Clapp is more quiet about some of his hidden talents: He can whistle without making it look like he’s doing the whistling. A ventriloquist whistler? He’s inspired by making a difference, big or small, in the lives of others and loves watching Gold Rush on the Discovery Channel, though he admits MarketMatch and his employees are his own personal gold strike.

Aaron provides strategic vision, planning, content marketing and digital expertise for MarketMatch clients. “My best ideas come to me when I’ve got a pair of running shoes strapped to my feet,” Aaron says. Which is why he is always trying to include group runs as part of client strategy planning sessions. “Finding the connection between the 30,000-foot strategic view and how that solution ties in with the end consumers is one of my passions,” he adds. It’s probably why he also geeks out over airplanes and enjoys taking to the skies. As fanatical about marketing as he is about his 10 pairs of running shoes, Aaron always makes sure he finds solutions that are the right fit for his clients.

She loves the beach but not the sand and wishes that “someone would just put a hotel pool on the beach already.” Back in the day, she played soccer in college (Wilmington) where she earned her share of yellow cards (all undeserved of course). She’s mellowed a bit now and is more obsessed with scented candles than conference championships.

Besides stellar design, he’s passionate about donuts, cars, driving fast and showing off his favorite party trick: sticking $2 worth of quarters in his nose. “I’m thinking of taking that one to America’s Got Talent,” explains Jeremy. Prize money = more donuts? Other curious facts about Jeremy: He can still ride a skateboard and once broke both elbows at the same time. (Can you say over achiever?)

Who’s there?

Jill Brewer, that’s who. In addition to an endless supply of mom jokes in her toolbox, Jill brings 15 years of combined experience as a designer, illustrator, and art/creative director to her role as MarketMatch Creative Director. She manages the creative team as well as inspires, guides and shapes the work we do for clients to ensure it glows with that special MarketMatch shine. “My true passion is developing brilliant brand identity systems. Also, I’m a huge fan of collaborating, ideating, and crafting clever campaigns that visually narrate brand stories,” says Jill. Speaking of stories, we think Jill’s is pretty cool. She married her eighth grade sweetheart, has three sons, lives on a small farm—goats may soon join the family—and enjoys driving back-country roads. (Almost sounds like one of the 90s country songs she likes, right?) Outside of work, she finds her bliss in landscaping, antique shopping and watching true crime documentaries. No joke.

He has over 20 years of ad agency experience writing for B2B and B2C clients. He credits stand-up comedians such as George Carlin and classic comedy like Laurel & Hardy and Abbott & Costello for turning him on to the power of word play – which he uses every day on the job. “That whole, Who’s on First bit really blew my mind. For the better.” When it comes to life’s staples, he loves Mexican food, the more cilantro the better, craft beer (especially highly hopped IPAs), and reading and writing poetry. Someday, he would like to live by the ocean again, the Pacific, which he fell in love with as a boy.

She creates exciting and thoughtful designs and creative solutions for our clients. Beyond that, her talents run deep in other directions: she can touch her tongue to her nose for instance. For fun she collects bird Christmas ornaments, does Pinterest crafts, and feeds her obsession with purses, shoes and nail polish as often as possible.  In addition to the latest design trends, she’s very outspoken on the subject of her favorite food: “I love potatoes. Anything made with or of potatoes, except sweet potatoes. They’re just gross.”

Time to break out the shades. Sam knows how to take an idea and make it Shine (with a capital S). She loves bringing the ideas of others to life, and it shows in the results. Experienced in a variety of mediums, including print and digital, she brings a lot of cool design goodness to the table. When she’s not on the clock, Sam’s creative outlets include video games, painting monster miniatures for tabletop Role Playing Games, and playing board games or Dungeons and Dragons with her roommate. Some of her favorites video games include open world sandboxes and indie crafting games, such as Breath of the Wild, Skyrim, and Cozy Grove. She also has her own little dragon (or leopard gecko) named Ivory Soap.

When Josh isn’t designing for work, he’s designing for fun. In other words, HE LOVES DESIGN. In fact, there is some speculation that he designed his “stache” using Cinema 4D. A graduate of The Modern College of Design in Ohio, Josh’s passion is creative problem solving through digital design. For some, the world is one big canvas. That would be Josh. “I’m always looking for something new to inspire my next design. In my free time, I design posters, shirts and stickers—lots of Star Wars, Marvel and DC stuff—and sell it on Etsy,” says Josh. Oh, and here comes the obligatory pun: The force is with him, and we’re grateful he’s with us. His talent and passion plus up the MarketMatch team in a big way. At home, he hangs with a cheerful menagerie of animal companions: three dogs (Liam, Sofia and Felix); Diego the cat; and five ducks. Each named duck.

She’s been wrangling them into place as a writer and editor for over 20 years. When not clarifying communications, she’s most likely communing with nature, as she’s happiest being active and outdoors, preferably with her husband, sons, and yellow lab. Having completed an MA in Spanish Literature, there’s more time for reading for fun as well as volunteer work as a translator and interpreter. Most days you’ll find her at the Buros Center for Testing, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she’s an editor of several research volumes in English and Spanish.

Alexandra is one of the secret weapons of our digital marketing efforts. With her digital marketing analyst wizardry, she brings that added insight and precision to everything we do on the digital side for MarketMatch clients. When she’s not kicking digital butt, she loves to cook (it’s very therapeutic) while listening to recorded storytelling events and comedy podcasts where people are ranting (The Moth, Mortified, Las Culturistas). As a digital native, she spends copious amounts of time on Tiktok, Twitter and Instagram, but never “takes it too seriously.” She runs an Instagram account for her cat Rosie. On weekends, she often spends time with her nephews and niece visiting playgrounds and playing outside! (Did someone say Aunt of the Year?)
